The feelings of love, security, celebration, and feeling seen in the world are what MackMeHappy is about. The art is inspired by the sometimes overwhelming joy of being alive, and the desire to materialize wonder.
MMH began in 2014 and has evolved with me while I've grown as a person, friend, and artist, becoming more vivid, exploratory, and colorful each year.
My mission with MMH is to cause joy and promote Queer visibility in fashion, especially for the Non-Binary community.
I started drawing clothes when I was nine.
The first outfits I remember sketching were those really loud and sparkly ice-skating costumes I saw on the Olympics.
Ever since then, I've continuously experimented with color, line, figures, mediums and am almost entirely self-taught.
I have worked as a costume designer and stylist for film, television, and theatre projects. I've been a video producer, first assistant director, actor, show host, writer, and assistant editor.
In the last few years I've been doing more work as a freelance graphic designer and am working to grow MackMeHappy into a recognized name amongst other Queer creatives.
